Mohammed ElBaradei - The Age of Deception: Nuclear Diplomacy in Treacherous Times (203)
This is, quite simply, why I feel really uncomfortable by the way Iran has been treated in the Security Council. The vastly different treatment different countries have gotten is astonishing. In the case of Iran it really seems like the NPT and UN Chapter chapter 7 have been abused.
I don’t know why this exists but I am loling pretty hard over. Someone, somewhere could probably use this to illustrate some bitting critique but no, too me it’s just cute puppies with placards. squee.
This is why I love Vogue they photograph real women in power
Didn’t they do a glowing article about the Syrian first lady? But I do love Susan Rice. Anyone else think she’s going to be the next Secretary of State after Clinton retires?
Thanks for the submission Deepti!
Solving the worlds problems in a weekend is great, and I think it was even the slogan of the AMUN conference when I attended it. But it’s probably best to recognize that MUN delegates don’t have quite the same restraints as UN delegates.
I can not reiterate enough how cool I think this photo is. It never stops being awesome.
UN peace keepers in Eritrea for those of you who are interested.
I watched this last night and i noticed a few things.
In it they tried to say that the iraq war “mistake” was solely down to one iraqi informant “curveball”, who appeared on the program and confessed everything he said was a lie. Can you really believe that the U.N and NATO made their decision on…
Neither NATO nor the U.N. invaded iraq, so maybe that actually shows that they’re more credulous than you take them for. As for Cuveball’s effects on the US, he hardly caused the war just enabled. It wasn’t that he was a good lier, it was that he was telling them what they wanted to hear. As far as a post cold war treaty on spies I’m not sure exactly what you’re talking about, please elaborate which treaty you’re talking about.
