First day back at work

Despite the fact that tour guiding isn’t really what I wanted to be doing this summer being back at work reminded me of something. Even though I’ve felt weak and scared and confused for a long time now, I am still someone who stands up to bears on a regular basis. Someone who knows not to run from a false charge. Weak though my body may be it’s one I put between other people and danger on a regular basis.

Maybe I’m not as worthless as I thought? We’ll see.
