Coup trial unites Turkey

This is huge. The two surviving members of the military junta responsable for the 1980 coup are standing trail. Turkish democracy has steadily been consolidating in recent years, hopefully this will further consolidate the norms of civilian rule. That’s my take, but I’m just an outside observer and I would love to hear what all my Turkish tumblr friends think.
