nothing like picking fights on tumblr when I’m bored and want to avoid real work. Do I dare venture over to the United Nations Tag to pick a fight with the new world order fringe crazies?
This is the kind of thing an International Relations Nerd takes photos of when he travels abroad.

I’m sure no one cares what’s in my personal library, but I’m having fun organizing it and might as well share the result.
My Personal Library: Mid-East Section - Photosynth
So here’s the Middle East Section of my personal Library.
Books are organized with general and non-geographical Middle East books to the left and then follow a rough west-east geographical order as you continue right. please ignore the south asian books on the far right.
Note: This does not include books I have only on my Kindle.
Note II: Nor does it include generalist books that may have a large Middle East component but are not specifically about the area i.e. Origins of Alliances which uses Middle Eastern case studies but is not principally about the region.
Note III: I swear to god I once had a copy of Vali Nasr’s The Shia Revival, but I have no earthly idea what happened to it.
I have already finished two books today. The first a work of science fiction: C.J. Cherryh’s Precursor, the forth book in her Foreigner series. The second book a work of nonfiction: Fiasco by Thomas Ricks.
Can I fit one more book in today and preform a reading hat-trick?
Sure! Do what you can to keep yourself sane. I’d read it :)
Dreamed about her again last night. I wish I could stop. Woke up with tears in my eyes.
How did I get to be such a fuck up? I’m letting so much perfectly good white privilege go to waste.
